EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that is excellent for resolving trauma and anxiety.  I compare it to a waking dream in which the mind and body relive and reprocess old memories, thoughts, feelings, sensations, and/or sounds to resolve them.  While back and forth eye movements are often used, I prefer to use alternating hand taps while focusing on traumatic or anxiety-provoking material.  Both ways allow the brain to release difficult things quickly and organically.  I would be glad to share my personal and professional experiences with EMDR with you.
